Introducing the LGND MCP Server

(This feature replaces our previously introduced Code Assistant)

Today, we're enabling your agent to actually run the API with the release of the LGND MCP Server as a beta feature exclusively for Developer, Pro and Enterprise tier customers.

Use the MCP server to help you get answers and insights by executing tasks like querying your collections, detecting change, or exploring what's in your data.

What's Now Possible

Instead of writing API calls, now you just ask in simple text. Type a question into Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible chat, and your agent handles the rest — querying your collections, reasoning across results, and passing findings to the next tool in your workflow.

The server exposes four capabilities your agent can call on your behalf:

  • Search — by text prompt, image chip, or geographic coordinates for features or changes of interest. "Find 5 swimming pools in Los Angeles satellite imagery and retrieve the addresses of the homes."
  • Inference — create new embedding collections for a sensor and timestamp."Create  embeddings for Pakistan in 2021 in Sentinel-2 imagery at a 128 pixel chip size"
  • Discovery — browse available tenants and collections to find the right data before querying it."Which collections in my tenant would be most suitable for tracking shipping containers?"
  • Inspection — retrieve detailed metadata on specific chips and cells."What sensor and acquisition date are associated with this chip?"

Connect the LGND MCP Server to any client and your agent can interact with LGND’s embedding tools to expedite workflows and, more importantly, integrate insights into the full context of your work.

Setup in Minutes
